A Nursery with Lasting Appeal

There are as many ways to raise a baby as there are paint colors. Style can accommodate any special situation. Here are some design tips to keep in mind:
Co-sleeping
If Baby is sharing the master suite with Mom and Dad, use some decorative tricks to delineate the spaces. "Create a niche for the nursery area by using swing-arm curtain rods with sheers on each side of the crib to create a visual division between the master bedroom and the nursery area," says Cooper. "This helps create a little niche for the baby without appearing to be out of place."
"Define the baby's crib space with a decorative area rug," says Blum. "This makes the crib a focal point in the room and emphasizes the importance of the baby's space." She also reminds parents to choose bedding that complements, not necessarily matches, their existing d袯r.
