Circling a majority of Bs indicates that your birthing style is somewhere in between high-tech and natural childbirth. While you trust your doctor and follow his advice, you also feel that you have motherly instincts for a reason. You have discussed, researched and read all you could get your hands on regarding pregnancy and childbirth but will still rely on the moment to determine what is right for you.

"I went into childbirth the first time determined to do it on my own without medications," says Drue Ann Hargis-Ramirez, a mother of two from Pomona, Calif. "But it ended up being a very long, complicated labor. My doctor persuaded me to have an epidural both so I could rest, saving my energy to push, and in case a C-section was necessary. It was still a great experience."

Natural Mama
If your answers consisted mainly of Cs, then your birthing style is all natural. You cherish and look forward to the experience of childbirth, both good and bad. You are committed to not having your feelings masked by medication, gaining an experience that is totally yours. You know that childbirth may be the hardest work you ever accomplish, but it also will be the most rewarding.

"Natural childbirth is birthing a baby the way nature intended," says Karen Hawkins of Bridgton, Maine. "It is elemental, spiritual and empowering. You become totally in tune with your body's rhythm as you experience the waves of contractions and the primal urges to push your child out into the world. It is an experience that transcends all others."
