The Right to Choose
Elective Cesarean Sections
By Shel Franco
She adds that women contemplating an elective Cesarean should also spend some time with other women who had natural births or who had epidurals. This experience is helpful when determining whether the choice to have a Cesarean is really what a woman wants or just what she wants to avoid.
Many emotions accompany pregnancy and birth. Fear is a very strong motivator. If you are scared of any particular aspect of childbirth, make certain you talk with your health care provider and spend some time doing serious soul searching before you decide on an elective Cesarean section.
"The important thing is that all persons give themselves and each other time and encouragement to explore options and keep the fires of communication burning, including time daily in silence and nature to listen beyond the many words of the world," Tolbert says.

Why should people be opposing cesarians. It's nobody's business to decided how a woman gives birth except for the woman herself. If she choses to have an elective cesarian and she is aware of the risks then why should people be opposing it?
