Sun Safety While Expecting
Protection During Pregnancy
By Belinda Clarke
was born. The primary goal of SunFriendlyProducts.com is to carry high-quality items that offer protection from the sun's harmful rays. These items consist of UV blocking swimsuits, sun hats, portable beach cabanas, stroller covers and all-natural sunscreens.
All of the selective products that we carry have been tested on our own children for effectiveness and "acceptance." Measuring effectiveness is fairly quantitative, since all of the sun protective products that we carry have been rated by highly respected organizations such as the American Sun Protection Association (ASPA) and the AMC Cancer Research Center.
However, measuring kid "acceptance" is a little more subjective. After all, protection from the sun is useless if your kids won't use it. As an example of kid acceptance, our son actually requests his UV blocking "surfer suit" over a standard bathing suit because he thinks he looks like a surfer! Additionally, kids love our assortment of prints on the sun hats, and our selection of beach cabanas double as fun play tents.
Jennifer Clement lives in South Florida and is a mother of two children and cofounder of www.SunFriendlyProducts.com.
