Pregnancy Portraits
Capturing Your Pregnant Glow
By Laura Cone
While many women hang their pregnancy portraits on the wall, some women find creative ways to incorporate their photographs into baby quilts and blankets.
Linda Kelley of Land O' Lakes, Fla., the owner of Sew Bee It Quilting Shop, says one of the latest crazes is sewing photos into quilts.
She says people can use special photo cloth designed for quilts or they can use a high-tech sewing machine that allows a person to scan a photograph so the image may be embroidered onto a quilt.
"We made a quilt for my daughter Colleen when she had a girl," says Kelley. "We took photographs of the kids from birth up to present and made it into a quilt."
Whether you choose nude or clothed shots, it's nice to have a portrait that shows everyone where it all started.
