Taking the Labor
out of Labor Day

5. Indulge Yourself
What's the true opposite of doing work? Being pampered. There's no crime in suggesting to your partner that the best way to spend Labor Day would be at a his-and-hers spa getting massaged, manicured and exfoliated (although for him this might take a little longer). "To me, a day off is more about giving my brain a break than my body," Kauffman says.

"A spa is the perfect place to achieve that mental escape," Dr. Smith says. "Physical rest is certainly beneficial, but a mental breather can be even more replenishing."
6. Don't Sweat the Details

And pretty soon, you'll have a new baby to celebrate it with!
