The youngest of two children born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, this old-fashioned girl refuses to find out the sex of the baby before birth or even pick out a name until she holds her baby in her arms. "We want it to be a surprise," she says. "I want to do this as old-fashioned as possible."

Pregnancy Fears

When she first learned she was pregnant, Bergman's biggest fear was gaining weight. Being a star on a TV show in which she wears a bathing suit every episode made her concerned over whether or not the weight would affect her career. "I realized that was very selfish thinking," she says. "My body needs it [the weight], my baby needs it." Since the pregnancy was written into the show, Bergman is breathing a sigh of relief. "The pregnancy is going to be exposed. Gaining weight was an issue for me – now I decided it's a beautiful thing."

But in order to stay in shape as much as possible, Bergman is "working out more now than I was before pregnancy. I want to keep toned." Two to three times per week, her typical workout includes light weight training, walking on a treadmill and prenatal yoga. "I like taking classes because I can bond with the other pregnant women and hear what they do." Before pregnancy, she did higher intensity workouts, such as Billy Blanks' Tae Bo. Now she wears a heart monitor watch to make sure she's not overdoing it.

Bergman's current fear is centered on the delivery. "I'm nervous about labor," she says. "There's a fear of going through the process of childbirth, the pain and not knowing what's going to happen."
