Pregnant Princess
Which Disney Princess Are You, Mom-to-be?
By Mark Stackpole
Many young girls spend their childhoods pretending to be a Disney Princess – dressing in beautiful gowns and dreaming of a dance with a handsome prince. As those girls grow up and find their dance partners, the royal dream gets a bit more complicated. After all, the next step is often having a baby, and there aren't quite as many Disney Mom fairy tales. (There is of course a possible exception of Ariel's daughter, Melody, in The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea, but that may not count.)
So, mom-to-be, let's combine the joys of being a princess with the wonders of being an expectant mother. Take this quick quiz to find out which is your "Pregnant Princess." Select the response that best describes you.
1. What is the best use you have found for your burgeoning belly?
A. Meditating while wrapping your arms around it gently.
B. To gain sympathy (and help at the grocery store, better seats on the train, etc.).
C. As a partner in crime, eating ice cream and talking with each other in the middle of the night.
D. Balancing extra food/drink on it while serving dinner.
E. Swinging it and using the momentum to perfect your "princess twirl."
2. When choosing maternity clothes, which of the following do you prefer?
A. Barely there, flaunting the big, beautiful belly.
B. Designer names so you can still feel fashionable, even when you don't feel fashionable.
C. To wait as long as possible before cramming yourself into them.
D. To make your own.
E. Comfortable, like your favorite pajamas.
