I was about one day late for my period and I had just gone off of the pill about 1 1/2 months before and was not expecting to be pregnant. I went to the doctor for a common cold and had experienced really sore nipples, so I told the doctor I was four days late and she asked me if I wanted a pregnancy test. I said yes.
She came back a few minutes later and told me yes, I was pregnant. I later that day went and got the book What to Expect When You're Expecting and a beautiful card for my hubby and we went to eat. I had him open his package and he cried! It was a great moment.
The best part was I am a worrywart and around 5 months they do a test to see if it was multiples and to see if there are any signs of Downs. Well, I skipped the test because I worry too much.
Well, later on a trip I fell in the snow three times and started having cramping in my side (at 5 months pregnant), so I called my doctor and they did an ultrasound. Well, together we found out we were having twins! The scariest thing I have ever heard in my life!
They are wonderful fraternal twin girls that I wouldn't trade for my life. I am now wondering if I am pregnant because my husband and I had intercourse over the weekend and our condom broke. I felt myself ovulate the next day; we will see! Twins mom!
