Unique Ways to Announce Your Pregnancy

Unique ways to announce your pregnancyWhen Jennifer Stai of Pennock, Minn., learned she was pregnant, she wanted to surprise her husband with the news in a special way. She went to the local flower shop and bought a balloon that boldly read, "Congratulations!" She tied her positive pregnancy test to the balloon string and let it float on their front porch. Stai knew that when her husband arrived home from work, it would be the first thing he saw. "I hid around the corner to see his reaction," she says. "You should have seen his grin."

Discovering you're pregnant can be a lovely time filled with happiness and wonderment. Sharing the news with your husband in a unique way can make the announcement even more amazing.

Sharing The News
A friend of mine told me about a wife who wanted to let her husband know she was expecting by serving him baby corn, baby peas and baby back ribs for supper. Of course, he didn't understand the unwritten message on his dinner plate. Sometimes, we women need to be a little clearer with our mates when we're trying to tell something as life changing as pregnancy.

Discovering you're pregnant can be a lovely time filled with happiness and wonderment.

Kathleen Samin-Argel of North Bergen, N.J., bought her husband a card with a baby carriage on the front after she learned she was pregnant with their first child. "We were cuddling in bed, and I reached into the drawer, pulled out the card and gave it to him," she says. "He couldn't believe it, as I expected he wouldn't. So I reached into the drawer again and pulled out the pregnancy test. We were both overjoyed!"

That was two years ago, and the couple is now trying for Baby No. 2. Samin-Argel is already planning how to surprise her husband again. She's going to wear a T-shirt that reads, "We're pregnant!"

When my husband & I bought our house, he wanted to put up a basketball hoop. I told him he had to wait until we had kids. He responded jokingly that the minute he found out we were expecting he would go buy one. The day I found out we were pregnant I went out & bought him a basketball. The look on his face was priceless & his comment was, "really, you are?" Best day ever!!

We announced our pregnancy at the family Christmas at my husband's mother's house by putting the possitive test in a bracelet box & wrapping it like a present with her name on it. You should've seen the look on her face!

I am pregnant, and I am planning on telling my husband the good news in a special way. I have decided to purchase a pair of the little baby shoes and place them next to my husband shoes along with a little shirt & pants that I will hang right next to his suit. Let's see if that is a big enough clue that we are expecting. I can't wait to see his reaction. We have been waiting so long for this day.
