When experts study exercise programs and the people who stick with them, one thing they find is that a big reason people quit exercising is they get tired of the same old routine. That's why fitness experts always recommend cross training. It not only helps with the boredom factor, but the variety actually helps increase fitness by exercising different muscle groups.
Pregnancy is no different. In fact, this may be a time when working out may become more tedious because most obstetricians, though they generally agree that exercise is a terrific idea during pregnancy, don't often have any better advice than to take a walk.

And walking is great, but there is also a large variety of equipment – with costs ranging from a few dollars to thousands – that is perfectly suited to the pregnant set. Using equipment for working out during pregnancy not only can combat the boredom factor, but it can get you in optimum shape for delivery and then help shape you up afterward.
