Pregnancy After Infertility or Loss

Life after Miscarriage

Preparing for a Healthy Pregnancy After Miscarriage

Take it from a woman who has experienced miscarriage twice: "There is life after miscarriage," says Christine Walker, a mother of three healthy children.

Her first miscarriage occurred in September of 1999. She was 10 weeks along during her first pregnancy. Walker's main symptom was having thick, brownish discharge for two days. She called her doctor, who told her to come in for an ultrasound. Sadly, the pictures showed no heartbeat.

About 20 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage.

Two months later, she conceived again. She and her husband Dave welcomed their oldest son, Schuyler, into the world in July 2000. They had another healthy baby, Connor, in August 2002.

The roller coaster ride continued when she experienced a second miscarriage in April 2003, and then delivered a third child, daughter Sloane, in March 2004.

Remember that there's a rainbow after the rain. If you need help, Internet is here. There are lots of sites that can really help you, I know painful but it shouldn't stop anyone to be pregnant again.

I had a miscarriage just over 3 weeks ago and am finding it extremely hard to deal with it. Sometimes it feels like it just happened yesterday and the pain is almost unbearable. I want to try again ASAP and I am waiting for my period so we can try again. I've recently started blogging about it to try to get my emotions out. I was inspired to do this because I read another woman's blog and it helped me a lot. you can read mine here; http://istherelifeaftermiscarriage.wordpress.com/

There is absolutely nothing in this article that proves she wasn't taking care of and appreciating the children that she had! My daughter was 2 1/2 when I miscarried back in march. I was devasted. The only thing that got me through was being able to go on being a mom. I just got this feeling that if I did it once, I could do it again. And how could I not share with the world such a wonderful child. We found out in Sept that we're expecting. I'm 13wks 4d today. Everything has been smooth sailing. So ladies it can happen! Don't give up.
