My cravings in the first trimester were for Ice Lollies, just cheap ones. I went through about six a day for the first 12 weeks, then all of a sudden I was not bothered either way.
Later on in my pregnancy I craved sponges – plastic ones. All I wanted to do was inhale the smell of new ones. I wanted to eat them, but never did. Unfortunately, their smell wore in about a day. Luckily, the assistants to the local chemist understood and didn't think I was too strange!
