Yeah, that's right, an idiot, but at least I finally had something to blame it on. I can look back on the incident and laugh, but at the time I cried for about an hour.
After my baby shower, when I was 8 months pregnant, my friends were helping me unload all my shower gifts from the car. I placed a box containing my favorite gift (a Fisher Price vibrating bouncy chair) by the car for someone to carry inside the house. After removing all boxes from the car with my friends I jumped back into the car to re-park. I noticed the tire was stuck on something and the car didn't seem to want to back up.
Instead of getting out of the car to see what it was, I – a.k.a. Ms. Einstein – decided to force the car to reverse over the blockage. My friend screamed, "Hey watch out!" but the tires had already done the damage. I'd driven right over the box containing the vibrating chair!
Our car is a Nissan Pathfinder so the box ended up being as flat as a pancake. Needless to say, I immediately broke into tears when I saw the damage I'd done. The only good outcome was when purchasing a new seat at Toys 'R' Us, the lady felt so bad for me she gave me 25 percent off my next bouncy seat purchase!
