When I was 7 months pregnant with my daughter I woke up, well, not feeling so well. I had heard stories that you don't feel good when you're in labor, and only being 7 months, I wanted to avoid that if at all possible. So I had my husband take me to the emergency room.
They told me to wait while a nurse got me a wheelchair. I got in the chair and felt faint and nauseated. We got into the elevator with about five other people and here I go. I warned everyone, wasn't that nice of me? "I think I'm gonna be sick!" And, well, you can figure out the rest for yourselves. I got sick all over the elevator and probably on a couple shoes. Turned out it was only the 24-hour flu and my daughter was born 10 days after my due date.
