My oldest is 14, and my youngest is 6 weeks. I have four kids altogether – three girls and a boy. I will never forget my second pregnancy as long as I live.
I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with Riley when I was taking my oldest daughter, Krista, to her dance class. I didn't realize how small the doorway was going into the building. Well, there were a lot of people around since it was the YMCA, and I had Krista in my arms. I turned on my side to go through the door, thinking it would be easier, but I was wrong. I said, "Umm, Krista, honey, I think Mummy's stuck." I squiggled and couldn't get out.
Then a man between the ages 40 and 45 came over and helped pull my daughter and me out of the door, as everyone stared and giggled. I turned as red as a beet.
Then four hours later, I had my first contraction, went into labor and gave birth to my daughter the next day. I will never forget that day as long as I live. I only wish everyone who was there that day would erase the picture of my 4-year-old daughter and an almost-9-month-pregnant woman stuck in a door out of their minds.
