At the age of 18 I found out that I was pregnant with my now 2 1/2-year-old daughter. She came at a difficult time for me. I was always fighting with her dad and we were homeless.

When my family found out they were happy, with a whole lot of questions. During my hospital stay I was alone until the day of my discharge. That is when my mother came. Tah'Kyrah had to stay in the hospital because she was born 6 weeks early. Thank God she didn't have any health problems. She was really tiny. She was born at 9:59 a.m., weighing 3 pounds, 3 ounces, 17 inches long.

To sum it all up, even though we had our struggles I love her so much and I don't make any decisions without thinking of her. She is my world and even though her dad and I aren't together I am still glad that she is here with me now. Her birthday is June 21, 2005.
