I take my prenatal vitamin at night before going to bed. My dog also takes medication at the same time. One night after a long day, I took out both of our pills. I set mine down on the nightstand near my glass of water. I walked over to the dog and realized that if I gave the dog her pill first, I would have slobber all over my hands when taking my pill.
I walked back to the nightstand, picked up the glass of water and proceeded to take the dog's medication, accidentally of course! After a brief moment of panic I called Poison Control. I learned that this particular medication can also be used for human colds. It isn't recommended for consistent use during pregnancy, but one pill wouldn't do me any harm. At the time I was in a complete state of panic, but now I can laugh about it.
