I was 7 months pregnant and decided to go check on a stray dog I had taken to the local SPCA a week earlier. My husband came with me, reluctantly. I assured him that I just wanted to check on the poor dog (we already have one greyhound dog and two cats!).

We had been there about five minutes when I burst into tears. I couldn't stop thinking about all of the poor, homeless animals! Everyone was staring at me and my poor husband just put his arm around me and led me out, stopping at the front desk to donate money for the animals.
