I was in my 7th month with my first pregnancy. It was my first wedding anniversary, and I wanted to do something special for my husband. Despite my enormous belly, I went and bought a pretty nightie and we started getting a little romantic.
Without getting too graphic, I'll just say I was on all fours kneeling over top of my husband. Some of his chest hairs tickled my nose, and suddenly I sneezed, HARD. As most pregnant women know, in a pinch, your baby is not going to give up his or her space, so the only thing that goes is of course the bladder. Yes, I peed all over him. Not just a little bit either, there was an audible SPLASH! He was soaked. I was mortified. I wished for the ground to open up and swallow me.
Of course, this immediately ruined his excitement and my enthusiasm. He tried to be sweet about it by suggesting we take a romantic shower together. Instead I spent the next 20 minutes or so crying in the shower and all thoughts of romance were gone for the night!
Now I laugh at the memory. So does every single person he knows, as we are now divorced and he loves to tell anybody who will listen to him about his "golden shower" experience. One for the grandchildren I'm sure!
