I was crying all day and on my husband's case about everything. The next day was my birthday and we had planned a party. My husband is the most patient man I know but that day I cried and got on his case so badly he finally said, "I don't think I have the energy to have your birthday party tomorrow."
We were having supper (taco salad loaded with sour cream and salsa) and I picked up my plate and ran to the bedroom. I called him and he also brought his food. After a moment of discussion I got so upset I threw my plate of food at him, which knocked his plate halfway across our room. The contents ended up all over the piles of clean clothes I had folded earlier.
There was taco salad everywhere. Even on the light bulb, which sizzled magnificently! This got us laughing and my husband said, "LuCynda, you're pregnant."
I said, "Yep, you're right."
Two days later we found out we were.
