I was 15 years old when I found out I was pregnant. So many different things were running through my head: Is this really real? What do I do next and where do I go from here?
I read the statistics and they amazed me. Everything you hear about teens and being pregnant or having a baby as a teen is negative. How can anyone expect a teen to make it with all this negative information?
No one thought that I could make it. I was and still am in school now as a junior/senior. I am completing two years in one so I can graduate and go to college to be a nurse this fall. There are positive outcomes with teens as parents. I know that may be hard to believe this day and age.
I am in no way encouraging teens to be having children, but teens do read these Web sites and do want to be good parents just as much as adults. I just want people to know that you can make it and succeed – even with a child at a young age. Good luck!
