Once you get to the third trimester of your pregnancy, it becomes largely a matter
of waiting and preparation. Having made it this far without complications, your
chances of a healthy baby are excellent.
Dr. Glade Curtis is the author of the Your Pregnancy series of books published by DaCapo Press. He is also an advocate for a "back to basics" approach to pregnancy. He wonders if the excess of information available today doesn't put a lot of emphasis on the negative, even though negative outcomes and pregnancy complications are the exception, rather than the rule.

"I like to dwell on the positive as much as I can, especially in the third trimester," says Dr. Curtis. "Everything is coming together, you're getting bigger, it's either more exciting or scarier or both. It's time to prepare for the exciting day that's coming."
