I always thought that it would be easy to conceive. My older brother and I were born in the same calendar year, and it only took my sister two weeks to get pregnant with her second child after going off the birth control pill.
My husband and I have been married for two years (I am 31, and he is 39), and we have been trying to conceive for almost 10 months now. I thought that fertility ran in the family, and I never thought that we would have a problem.
The last few months have been really difficult for me. The last time I got my period I actually cried myself to sleep. The most frustrating part is that I have a regular cycle (26 to 28 days), and my temperature spikes every month when I ovulate.
Everyone tells me "it will happen," but I am starting to wonder if it ever will. It's great to have a site where other couples share their experiences, and I can know that I am not the only one in the world who is having a difficult time trying to conceive.
