Well, we're trying again. If all goes well this will be our third child. We just had a miscarriage on New Year's Eve 2000. The only comfort I had was knowing it was going to happen only a couple days before. I know that sounds really bad but it was better to know what was happening, than to have it happen with no warning.
Although the signs I was having were not that noticeable. Now I am just as far as I was before. But I can't let myself get excited, not like I was before. Even though I have two healthy boys – both pregnancies were pretty easy with them. I had not anticipated any problems. Speaking with several doctors I finally realized that miscarriage is so common but it's just not talked about enough. They were saying that it could be as high as one in three. If I had known this I probably wouldn't have scrutinized everything I'd done and tried to blame my loss on something I'd done. Like I said before, we're trying again and hoping for a healthy baby.
