To everyone out there who is trying with such love and patience to conceive...

My boyfriend and I have been trying to conceive a child since April 24 of this year. For the longest time before we met I was unsure about my readiness for a baby in my life. Growing up I had a broken home and didn't want the same for my child as it grows.

Through a lot of love and trust with one another, we have created a wonderful life with each other and have decided to start a family and share a marriage. I'm finally ready for a family, though I face the impatience of not meeting conception yet. I take vitamins daily, try to eat more fruits and vegetables and quit smoking. I'm trying to do the best I can to stay healthy for my baby.

I've always had a fear that I wasn't going to be able to be a mother. Something tells me that I will never get pregnant. I've had some medical problems that can decrease my chances of being able to conceive or bring a child to term. That is one of the reasons why I want to start having a family now rather than later. Not just that, but I am ready!

Months go by and I am not pregnant yet, but you can't be hard on yourself. I believe God is on my side. I just hope he thinks I'm worth it. I make my life better every day to prove to God that this is something that I want and am ready to have. Hopefully he thinks the same!

Then again, it hasn't been that long that I have waited. It hasn't even been four months yet. I just need to take it one day as it comes. I was just ovulating, and it's about time now to see if I will in fact get my cycle or not. I cross my fingers and hope for the best! Either way there are other options out there for me. Today there are people working daily to improve their knowledge about helping families or couples who need a little help creating a little one – from fertility drugs to artificial insemination and much more. But I believe that my time will come.
