27 weeks! 13 to go!!!
Hi all! I hope I didn't sound too whiney in my last entry. I don't want anyone to get me wrong -- I am incredibly thankful to be having a child. It is just the process of building it that bites...
Anyway, Montana was a blast. It was nice to be there, yet nice to leave as well. We really don't know when we will be able to get back again, so we just soaked in our friends and the atmosphere. We also got be walk-ons in the last performance of my friends (did I already mention that?!).
I had my glucose test on Tuesday. It wasn't nearly as bad as the one I had six years ago when I was pg with Lydia/Nicole. This was still orange flavoured but it was actually fizzy and on ice. I drank it in about a minute (I am a sugar fiend so the surgariness didn't bother me). While I waited for my check-up and then to get the blood sucked out of me, I organised my business receipts. Whooppee!
The doctor said that the squidge sounded happy :o), so that was nice to hear. I asked her about my sugar cravings and she said I may just need more protein. And, since then I have increased my intake and found my self actually not craving too badly! I was also smart and made a sugar-free apple pie, and a sugar-free banana gingerbread loaf to sorta trick myself. We will see how that works...
It turns out that I have gained NINE POUNDS IN FIVE WEEKS!!!! Yuck!! I know it is because I don't exercise (due to injuries), and because since my sister's wedding we have been so busy and on the road that we have eaten out almost every day!! It is so nice to be home and somewhat in control again.
I love feeling the squidgey move around. It is so cool to feel body parts trying to poke out.
We have two more trips up north before I am done with travelling. We go to New Jersey on Friday and won't be back until the 15th. Then, we are going to upstate New York for Thanksgiving at my grandparents'. I swear, I can't wait to be done with these road trips! It is so uncomfortable to travel like this. I wish I could be like Sharlene and actually 'forget' I am pg sometimes... It would be so groovy to be that comfortable.
Well, that is all for now -- except for a shout out to my friend Gayle!! Oh, that reminds me -- we have finally decided how to spell our baby's name -- Iain (as opposed to Ian). We just don't want it spelt the same way as Ian Paisley who is a not very nice Northern Irish "political" type guy.
Blessings,
Amy H & Squidge
P.S. I am having fun seeing what different people call their little growing babies.
