30 weeks! 10 to go!

Okay, I am doing much better this week. Things aren't quite so bad in my mentalness. I am getting more focused and starting to pack. Basically, I have decided that if I don't want to drag something overseas it is going to Goodwill. End of story. This gives me a little bit of satisfaction that something is being accomplished, and there will be one less bit of crap to deal with once the Squidge is here. Yippee!

I have the offical word from my doctor to NOT travel up north for Christmas. My MIL told Jon, "Well, let Amy know we would love to have her here if she changes her mind." AS IF! Like I have choice... Well, the first words out of the doctor's mouth at my appointment today was, "Remember, no travelling after your 32nd week." So, we can now offically quote her to my MIL. Jon is going to go up alone -- a move that has my blessing. He is an only child and his parents don't really have any other family.

The appointment went well. Squidge sounded good and apparently had the hiccups as well. He is REALLY moving today -- lots of knees and elbows dragging along my innards as he tries to turn around. Pieces and parts just keep pushing WAAAAAAY outta me. It's really sorta cool :-)

I am going to be calling my HMO today to see if they cover getting a couple of moles removed. I have one on the back of my neck that apparently looks gross (I can't see it) and there is one on my hairline at my temple that had gotten way bigger recently. It really needs to go.

OH! I can't believe I almost forgot! I had a baby shower this past Sunday. It was fun :-) People were very nice and I can't believe they all showed up. The biggest worry was getting a car seat, and a bunch of ladies chipped in for it. It was such a load off of my mind. We also did a fun thing where everyone gets a pen and writes something encouraging or funny on a diaper. Then, the diapers get jumbled up in a bag with blank ones. So, in the first weeks when we grab one with a note while changing the Squidge we can be encouraged. It was really neat :o)

All in all this has been a busy work week and a very 'zen' baby week. Hope everything is bright in your world today!

Love,

Amy H & Squidge
