I feel like I haven't written in so long. This new deadline just throws me! I have added a reminder to my calendar at work so that should help.
I'm still loving being pregnant. The baby is moving so much. I have trouble concentrating on work when she's really active. I just want to rub my stomach. Greg and Brendan can feel her moving and they can see my stomach wiggle from time to time.
I went to the doctor on the 5th. It was pretty uneventful. He was concerned about the pain and pressure that I have been having. He is especially concerned that I have been having contractions that are painful. He told me that I have to start timing them and he wants me to lie down for two hours if I have any. That's not too convenient when I'm at work. He also told Greg that I have to take it easy. I'm glad Greg was there to hear that. I think that he thinks that I'm lazy at times when I want to have an easy supper and then relax on the couch. He has also started carrying Brendan to the car for me in the morning. We have a lot of steps and it was getting pretty hard to carry him, and he insists on being carried in the morning.
I don't go back to the doctor until the 25th when I will have my glucose test. Greg won't be able to go the appointment with me because he will be on a ski trip, but I wouldn't want him to have to hang around the office for an hour while I wait for the blood to be drawn.
My latest problem is an aching back. I have had a backache since yesterday. It is really low. It feels like when I am getting my period. I asked a nurse at work about it and she told me that I should call my doctor. I hate to call there. I don't want them to think I'm a worrier. I checked the information the doctor just gave me about signs of preterm labor and one of them is dull backache below the waistline for one hour. So I called. The nurse told me that it's just a symptom of pregnancy. That's it. So I guess I'm just going to live with it. I know it's probably nothing, but my pregnancy with Brendan was very easy so every ache and pain this time around is something new.
I think I mentioned that we got the crib ready for the baby. I have also been out shopping again. I've been stocking up on diapers and I bought a few more clothes for her. We also ordered a baby swing and an Ultrasaucer (for when she's a little older, of course) from Baby Center. They were having a great sale. Now all we need is the baby. I can't wait.
