28 weeks, 2 days
I hope I am doing this self-entry right. We'll see. I think this is a great idea. Then I can post whenever something new happens.
I went to the doctor on Thursday. I had my glucose tolerance test. It was normal. My hemoglobin was normal too. Thank goodness. The sticky orange drink wasn't that bad either. They told me I had five minutes to get it down and I finished it in one. Dr. Cunniff says that my stomach is measuring perfectly and the baby's heart beat sounded great. I have also gained 15 pounds during the pregnancy and the doctor is happy with that gain.
Another one of my co-workers announced her pregnancy this week. That makes four of us in the department that are expecting in 2001. My supervisor is begging everyone not to drink the water. She specifically told me not to drink the water, but it's obviously too late for that! Anyway, it's so fun being pregnant with the people around you.
Greg is still on his ski trip. He sent me flowers this week with a card that said he missed me. What a sweetie. Brendan and I have had a great time. We've made tents, played construction site, and watched videos. The videos are great when I'm feeling exhausted. My sister came for a visit on Friday and entertained Brendan too. Our daycare is closed for the week so I'll be spending a lot of time at home with Brendan. I really love it. I wish I could be a sahm, or work from home.
We're still undecided on a name for this baby. Help! We're considering quite a few. The latest one that we both didn't say "ew!" to is Ashleigh Renee. I also like Elizabeth, Emma, and Emily. Greg thinks they are all too old fashioned. He likes Brittany. I do too, but it reminds me of Brittany Spears. Everyone tells me that Brittany Spears will be a thing of the past by the time this little one goes to school so it won't matter. I have almost three months to decide, but any suggestions would be appreciated!
Well that's it for now. Brendan wants to play with his tools and I'm his construction partner.
