Well, the past week flew by. Brendan picked out pumpkins and then helped me put up a few Halloween decorations around the house. He loves to help and do things for himself. I asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween and kept saying, "A spooky." I had no idea what he meant. While we were at the grocery store I bought the cookie dough that comes in the tube with a picture of a ghost on each cookie and Brendan said, "Look, a spooky!" So he wants to be a ghost.
Not a whole lot is new on the pregnancy front. I swear I have felt the baby kick a few times, but I know it's probably too early for that. I'm only in my 13th week. But it doesn't feel like a gas bubble. It's always in the same spot and it feels like three or four little taps in a row. It reminds me of when I first felt Brendan kicking. Who knows.
I finally found two pairs of maternity pants and a beautiful maternity sweater at Motherhood Maternity. I wore them last Friday. It was so much more comfortable, but the pants were a little loose and kept slipping down. I also acquired a ton of maternity clothes from two friends at work. I haven't even had the chance to go through all of the stuff. So a big thank-you to Stacie and Pam! Pam, you'll get all the clothes plus my own when I'm done with them. You're next!
I have another appointment with my doctor next Tuesday. I can't wait to hear the heartbeat again. I think everything is fine, but it's so reassuring to hear that little heart beat. I bought the Bebe Sounds monitor, but I can't hear the heartbeat with it yet. The instructions say that it can't be heard until the fifth month. Right now Brendan uses it to hear his own heartbeat.
Hope everyone is feeling great! Thanks for the posts on my board. I check it every day and it's so great to hear from everyone.
