17 weeks, 4 days
I just finished my morning omelet. I have been having one every morning up in the cafeteria at work. I think the cook hates me. Everyone else is asking for scrambled or fried and I have to have an omelet with ham, cheese, and onion. But they are so good. I think about it all the way to work!
The past week has been uneventful. We were going to go to Bemidji last weekend to visit Greg's grandmother and my mom, but they were predicting a winter storm with up to 10 inches of snow. We thought the four hour drive north would end up being about six and definitely not worth the risk. It turned out that we got about one inch of snow and a lot of rain. But it was nice to be home without too much to do. I got to watch a lot of old movies on TV and made Play-Doh worms with Brendan. We also made a trip to the library so we spent time cuddling and reading his new books. I also cleaned a bit since Greg's family is coming to our house once again this weekend. I am trying to stay positive about the visit, even though his family isn't nice to me. I try to keep in mind that they love Brendan and Greg a lot so they can't be all bad.
I can feel the baby moving more now. It's not every day, but I know that's normal. Yesterday I could feel the baby move to my bladder and then I had to run to the bathroom. I also felt a lot of pressure on my diaphragm. It seems a bit early for that, but I know that everything doesn't go by the books, or past pregnancies.
I am looking forward to next week. I took the entire week off. Brendan turns 3 on Monday and I want to spend the day with him. And of course Thanksgiving is Thursday. We are also having Brendan's birthday party that day since all of my relatives will be together. It should be fun. I don't know if I'll get a diary entry in next week. I don't know if I'll be near a computer. Just in case, happy Thanksgiving!
