Anne B's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

December 5, 2000

I was away from my diary longer than expected. I don't have much time for this week's entry, but I wanted to make sure I got one in.

We have been busy trying to get ready for Christmas. We're going to decorate our tree tonight. We were going to have Brendan's pictures taken for our Christmas card last night, but he threw a fit while we were getting him ready so I had to move the appointment to next Sunday. I'm hoping we have better luck.

I'm feeling the baby move every day. He/She seems to have regular cycles of being awake and asleep. The baby always starts moving between 9:30 and 10, which is exactly like Brendan was when I was pregnant with him. I have a feeling this little one is a boy. I have an ultrasound tomorrow so hopefully we will be able to check on the sex of the baby.

I was supposed to have my ultrasound on Friday, but my doctor had to reschedule. His wife is being induced. She's having twins. Since he won't be back for a few weeks, I told the nurse I didn't want to wait for the ultrasound. I told her I was feeling "anxious." I don't know if she took that as I was worried, but she offered to let me have the ultrasound done at the hospital instead. I jumped at that. I can't wait to make sure that everything looks OK. I'm pretty sure it will be fine since I've been feeling so much movement, but it's still nice to see it for yourself. I've heard that some radiologists won't reveal the sex. They leave that for the doctor, but I'm hoping I get a nice technician.

That's about it for my update. I'll let you know in my next entry what we found in the ultrasound!
