Anne B's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
December 7, 2001
I don't even know how to begin. It's been so long since I've written a diary entry. I had intended to complete a baby diary, but I still haven't heard back from anyone at the site about setting it up. Ashleigh is now eight months old so it's probably a little late to start a new diary at this point.
The past eight months have gone by so quickly. Ashleigh is such a fun little girl. She laughs and wrinkles up her little nose. She loves Brendan more than anyone. When he comes into the room she lights up. I love seeing the two of them together. Brendan is very protective of her. I know that they might not always get along so well so I'm enjoying it while it lasts.
Ashleigh is scooting backward. She hasn't figured out how to crawl forward yet and it doesn't seem to bother her until she backs herself into a corner or against a wall and can't quite figure out how to get herself moving again.
It's almost time for her first Christmas. I can't wait. I love Christmas and I'm especially excited to be spending this Christmas as a family of four. We're going to decorate our tree this weekend. I can't wait to see Ashleigh's reaction to the lights. We took her to a Christmas parade and she slept through the entire thing.
Speaking of sleeping, the one thing I haven't gotten used to yet is the lack of sleep. Ashleigh has only slept through the night three times in the past eight months. Help! I seem to always have a headache and I think it's due to the fact that I never make it to the REM sleep stage.
Happy Holidays to everyone. I still enjoy reading all the pregnancy diaries. I miss being pregnant so I have to live through everyone else's stories. Enjoy all those baby kicks and cravings!
