Becky's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
November 30, 2003
We had a good Thanksgiving holiday. We traveled to my husband’s parents’, only about 90 minutes from where we live. Everyone was home, even Jason’s brother from Denver and his sister from college. We had a good time and ate well. We also got to visit some friends who live there, their son is our godson.
My husband’s family is amazing. If they hadn’t talked to each other, everybody would have gotten the same gift for each person. One of them had the same idea I had for my husband, and I'm sure I never told them about it, so now I have to think of something else (which shouldn't be too hard). At least two people or more had the same idea for another person, and their dad would have gotten 3 copies of the same DVD if they hadn’t discussed it and realized my husband already bought it.
I still don’t know what to get for my family, and I don’t relish the thought of Christmas shopping. I’m thinking of doing all Internet shopping, but I still don’t know what I want, and then there’s always the danger it won’t get here in time.
9 weeks to go
My belly is getting bigger by the day, and I’m just hoping I don’t have to buy new maternity clothes before the baby comes. I think they’ll stretch. I can tell the baby’s getting a lot bigger when it moves inside me. I am hot all the time, and often have to wear short sleeve shirts even when it’s cold, because everyone has the heat turned up. I am getting more tired all the time, and more hungry, especially in the mornings. Baby is very active, kicking and moving around any time that I’m not moving, and is often very rhythmic, almost keeping a beat with its movements.
So far the majority of our friends and family think we’ll have a girl, I still don’t know; I change my mind every week. We are looking forward to the surprise though. Now we have to start getting ready for labor, and our prenatal classes at the clinic start this week.
