Yay! We know when baby Jay will be born! That is, if I don't go into labor on my own... Hey, a girl can always hope. As you can see, I am now 35 and 1/2 weeks pregnant. I had an OB appt. this morning, and the doctor went ahead and scheduled a date for me. I will go to deliver Jay on February 3rd at (gulp!) 6 a.m. I'm so incredibly excited!!! Tommy now has no worries about being sent on his manager's conference in Orlando and missing the birth of his son now that we have a scheduled date! At my appointment today, I was measuring right at 35.5 weeks, I gained 2.5 pounds in the last 2 weeks, and my bp was 98/50 ("low" is normal for me). There is still a small amount of blood in my urine from the kidney stone episode, but not an amount to be worried about. They went ahead with the Group B Strep test today, which I wasn't really expecting until next week. Not a problem, though, as since I was already disrobed and in stirrups, she went ahead and did a cervical exam. And much to my surprise, I am already 2 cm dialated! Now, let me remind you that I do have two children already, so I know that I can easily run around this way for a month or more. However, with my first two pregnancies, I did not dialate until 38 weeks or so, so this is a little earlier than in the past. I have been having a good bit of stabbing vaginal pains, and had wondered if there was anything happening. I am sooooo excited and anxious about this birth! However, I don't want him to come TOO soon, which leads me to the next part of my update...

We found a house! And we are moving NEXT WEEK. Yikes! This will be my 7th move since leaving home 7 years ago, and I have to say that I am really ready to *settle*. This should be the one. It is a two story; it has an eat-in kitchen and a separate dining room (which will serve as office/baby Jay space) downstairs, as well as a 1/2 bath and large living room. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one of which is slightly larger than the master bedroom, and will be just perfect for Dylan and Jay to share. There are two more baths upstairs, but the best part is, there's a huge playroom situated over the garage! It will be so nice not to have to tell my kids "Quit stomping! No running! There are people downstairs! You're too loud!" I understand that I will not want them to do these things all the time even in our own house, but I am really looking forward to letting them be kids and enjoy themselves. This is especially true now that I am a stay at home mom and we spend the vast majority of every day at home. There is also a 2 car garage and a nice level front and back yard, with part of the back yard fenced in. The driveway is nice and long and level also; perfect for learning to ride bikes. And there is a nice-sized deck just off of the dining room. I look forward to being allowed to own a grill, and we also have an outdoor fireplace that's been stored at my mom and dad's that we'll be able to put to use again. Oh, I'm just so excited! (Can you tell???)

I have a ton to do to prepare for moving next week, so I am going to have to make this short for now. I will try to update next week before we move. But if not, I will be back in two weeks, hopefully just before Jay is born.

Take care!
