Well, hallelujah, I am almost out of the first trimester! I couldn't help but worry some that the Lord has already given me two health, beautiful children, and that maybe I am pushing the odds... silly, I know, but a pregnant woman's worry at any stage of life just the same.
It has been an incredibly tiring week for me. The daycare I work at has cute names for their rooms - the room I usually work in is the Cuddlebugs, and they range from just learning to crawl to just learning to walk. We get to celebrate most of the first birthdays in our room! But, this week, we were within our ratio, and we had a teacher leave from another class, so (lucky, lucky me - insert sarcasm here) I was put in the Butterfly room with 15 just-turned-three-year-olds. TWELVE of which are boys. OH MY GOD, I have never worked so hard in my life. These kids poop in their pull-ups, pull each other's hair, bite each other, have to all be patted to sleep, scream, kick, cry, and fight all the livelong day. I kid you not, I have just come out of the week from hell.
Today did have a bright side to it, though. My daughter, Liah, also goes to this preschool, and she is in the pre-k class. Today they went on their first field trip, and I actually managed to work things out to get out of my room and join the pre-k kids to Coolidge Park. This place has intermittent spraying fountains to play in, and tons of soft grass to run around on, and a carousel with animals on it that were restored from I don't know when. It was wonderful, and I was so glad to spend the majority of the day with Liah! So at least the week ended well.
Okay, I know this is a pg diary... so on to the pregnancy! I am so so much bigger with this pregnancy than I was with Liah or Dylan. I have one pair of non-maternity pants that still fit me; other than that, I have been in maternity clothes, since, oh... week 8 or 9. Moo.
And I can swear that I have felt little kicks already! Very intermittent, but what do you think? Any other multiparas out there who have noticed this sooner with subsequent pregnancies?
The nausea has abated a lot, however, I seem to have acquired "evening sickness" more than anything. This has to be my biggest complaint - by the time I'm home from work in the evening, I am so exhausted and sick feeling that it kills me to make a pb&j sandwich or pour a bowl of cereal for the kids for dinner! Terrible, huh? But, they love the stuff, and this too shall pass... (Right?)
TTM whenever you'd like (I am SUCH a TTM board junkie!)
Hope all is well with everyone!
Cara
