I can't believe I am finally here! With starting so this so late I have so much to catch you up on I'm not sure where to start. My ultrasound was on March 1 and it's a GIRL! My husband and I were both hoping for a girl and it seems someone was listening. However, a boy would have been great too! Just being able to see her was so amazing. We got to count all of her fingers and toes! I think I could watch the tape over and over again. I copied the one picture she printed out for us and it is hanging up on my refrigerator for all to see. The woman doing the ultrasound said that she has her daddies chin. He was thrilled about that!
We have managed to name her already. We started looking early so we could have a name picked out soon after the ultrasound. We already had a boy name but we were undecied on the girl. It was a toss up between: Sierra, Hannah, Samantha, or Aubrey. We finally decieded on Aubrey Grace. Sometimes when I tell people they insist on making comments on how they like one name or the other but not both. I have learned to just say "Well, that is okay because she isn't your daughter." It seems to keep people quiet!
I feel her move more every day! How exciting it has been to feel her grow inside my body. You don't know what it is like until you actually feel it. She won't cooperate with my husband much when he wants to feel her. He tells me she is acting like her mother! Well, we could say the same thing about dear old Dad! We have bought the furniture for her room. We spent more than expected but we both fell in love with the bed and dresser. Having it all set up makes me anxious for her to be here. My youngest cat seems to think we bought this stuff for him to play on and in. Somehow I think he will change his mind when she arrives! He hates it when children cry - he runs and hides! This is going to be a big adjustment for us all.
Well, I don't know where to go next so I will end this now. My next appt. is Thursday so I will update with any news then. On to the next day in this journey!
