35 weeks

Hello everyone! I am so sorry that I havent posted but things have been crazy here. That and I didn't really want to share all of my news.

Let me start where we left off. My 30 week appt. was just great. I measured just fine, her hearbeat was great, and my weight gain was okay with the doctor. So skip to two weeks later -- I was measuring 2 to 3 weeks ahead! STOP right there! How did that happen????? Other than that her heartbeat was great and the swelling was getting worse but nothing I couldn't handle. So we got to go in the next week (33) and have another u/s. Which was kind of nice to see her again. In fact my DH and I had been talking about that before my 30 week appt. How we wished we had the money to pay for another u/s since insurance wouldn't cover it. But this was NOT the way I wanted to have it done. Aubrey measured on the high end of normal for growth and she was a whopping 5lbs 15oz. I don't even want to fathom how big she will be if I go all the way to my due date.

She does have these cute chubby cheeks and we could see her teeth in her gums, which was neat but at the same time freaky! We were assured that yes, she is still a girl. My mother has predicted that she will be born on July 4th. Oh how we are praying! I will be 37 weeks then and I think she is plenty big enough! Someone asked me when the full moon was in July -- turns out it is July 5th so I guess we will see. She has been head down now since Memorial Day so of course my swelling has gone through the roof. I never realized I would be desperate enough to wear hose in the middle of the summer! It helps but it is no cure. Water, water, water is all I drink and it still doesn't help much. Please God let this child come early!

On top of all of this the insurance we have is Maxicare which is going out of business in Indiana. Oh what fun we had trying to figure out which other plan to take. I swore that I was not, repeat WAS NOT, changing doctors this late in the game. I chose the doctor I did because I like her and there may be one more in town that I would be comfortable with and that is it. Thank God she is in one of the other plans offered.

We also deceided to switch the room that the nursery is in. So my DH, mom, and stepdad spent a whole weekend stripping wallpaper and painting the room. Wow does it look good. I am so impressed with there work. And all the furniture looks perfect in that room. Lets just hope that our lovely neighbors keep quiet like they have been lately!

I seem to be rambling so I will write another entry after my appointment this week. That will also include my fist baby shower.
