Hello again! Well, to start off I must say that I had a very good doctor visit today. It was early but my husband mananged to stay awake. I had my test for Group B Strep and then she did an internal exam. I am 1-2 cm dilated and starting to thin out. She said that was good for 35 weeks. I asked her if I went into labor at 37 weeks would she try to stop it and she said no. She told us that if I went now she wouldn't do much to try to stop it, which I thought was pretty cool. She is big enough that there shouldn't be any problems. We get to have another u/s next week to check on her weight. That is okay with me as long as the insurance will pay for it! If not then we will be footing the bill - Yuk! When she told me I was dilated I was so happy. Me- rest? No way! Bring on the pain. I am so anxious to see her and hold her. Tony and I both are. We have told her from the beginning that she has to come early because Mommy and Daddy just can't wait to meet her. Anyway, there are things that need done that my DH just doesn't do right or doesnt' see the point in doing, so I will do things a little at a time.
Our first baby shower was okay. Not many people showed up because of other commitments. They have still been giving us gifts though so now I get to begin the Thank You notes. I was never good at writing them but I guess I will learn fast! My next (and last)one is this Sunday and I think there will be a better turn out. Of course this one is at our house so we have to clean clean clean tomorrow and Saturday! Everyone will get to see the nursery (even though it isn't completly finished) and see all the work that has gone into it.
