22 weeks, 18 to go!!

Hello Ladies,

I hope all of you are feeling as well as I have been feeling lately. I really enjoy being in my second trimester. All the books are right about it being the most enjoyable time. As I stated last week, I was sick this past Monday, but after getting over that little bout I feel GREAT!! I can't believe how fast my pregnancy has been flying by. I just hope that it continues to fly by when I'm about ready to pop in this Texas weather this summer. I didn't do much of anything this past week, except work.

I came in on Friday and nobody was here, then my boss called and asked me what I was doing there. I told him that I was working and he said for me to go home because of the holiday. I was in such a good mood for the rest of the day. Since my husband and I share a car and his work wasn't giving him the day off, I went over to my mother-in-law's house to catch up on some sleep. I got there and we decided to go and have lunch and then head for the mall. We ate at the Black-Eyed Pea, and it was so good.... I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn and a salad. So after we ate we went to the mall and Mama (my MIL) bought Jayden his Noah's Ark baby book, and a Tommy Hilfiger tank top onsie. His daddy has a Tommy tank top that looks just like it. They will look so cute together when we go out! Mama also bought our niece a Tommy bikini. Kayla (our niece) is 8 months old, and she is a mess! She is so adorable, and she's also spoiled rotten. Anyway, after buying that stuff we walked around a little while so I could work off my lunch and get some exercise.

On Saturday, we were supposed to pick up Brynden (my stepson) but his mother did not show up with him. You see the court orders are temp and are from two years ago, and allow Jason to see him every other Saturday from noon till 4. Well, the noon to 4:00 lasted for about a few weeks and then she let him see him from noon till 8, then about a 1 1/2 years ago she decided it was OK for him to start to spend the night and be returned on Sunday. Brynden has loved coming over to our house because we live out in the country and he can run around and play with our two dogs. He also enjoys staying up with his daddy and watching Kung Fu movies all night long. Well, things have changed lately. Ever since his mother found out that we got married and that I was expecting a child she has been VERY difficult. She has pulled a stunt or two over the past couple of times we were supposed to pick him up and so now we are having to take her to court to get the final court orders for joint custody. So needless to say we have not been able to see Brynden for about a month, and it really ticks me off because I miss him so much. I have been a part of his life ever since my husband has been able to see him which has been for the last three years, and Brynden is 5. Does that tell you anything? It irritates me because she thinks that he is only hers and I guess she thinks she is The Virgin Mary and conceived Brynden all by her self. What she doesn't realize is that the only person that she is hurting in the long run is Brynden. I would love to know what she tells him when he asks about seeing his daddy and why he can't go. I know that you are not supposed to hate any one but I truly, and deeply DISLIKE her with a passion. Anyway, enough of my rampage.

On Easter Sunday, we went to church with my grandparents who live about 20 minutes away then we went back to their house and had lunch. Once again I absolutely loved my lunch. It has been so long since I have had a tasty home-cooked meal. I think that I ate two helpings of my favorite casserole. After lunch, we went over to my aunt's house to see all the little ones hunt easter eggs, and to see the newest addition to our family. My cousin's wife had a baby boy Feb. 27, and he is absolutely precious. They named him Jarred Charles Schrode. I'm not to crazy about the name, but who am I to judge. After having all the excitement that I could handle in one day we finally went home and I fell asleep instantly.

So here I am today fully rested and feeling great. I go for my next doctor visit May 1, and I hope he doesn't complain about my weight, because honestly I don't care at all. I have decided that as long as I eat healthy during the week I think that it is OK to splurge on the weekends and holidays. I have so far gained 20 pounds since I have been pregnant and I know that I gained a little more than I should but I really don't think that I am that out of control. My doctor told me that my ideal weight gain should be only 25 to 30 pounds, so most likely by the time that Jayden is born I will be double that! Oh well, I am only 20, 21 by the time Jayden is born and I love to work out and take kickboxing so I am not real worried about losing the weight.

Well, I hope that I haven't put anyboby to sleep with my long and dragged out entry. I hope that everyone is feeling as great as I am and if you're not, I hope you get to feeling good soon. Talk to y'all later....
