Chevie's Diary Entries

Week 27, 13 to go!

Wow, it's so hard to believe that I have finally made it to my third trimester... It seems like it was just yesterday that I found out that we were expecting. I thought for sure that this whole pregnancy thing was going to get old about the fourth month, but time seems to be flying and I'm enjoying every bit of it (with the exception of indigestion and heartburn). LOL.

Well, congratulations to Laurel, Lea and Laura on the births of their little ones. When I first started this diary they were as far along as I am now, the thought of that is so hard to believe. I hope that all of them are doing well and are having fun with their newborns. Luckily we are also welcoming new-comers this week: Amy K. and Anne. I look forward to reading your entries and hope that you will have as much fun as I have keeping this diary.

On to the the baby front... I had a doctor appointment last Monday (5/22) and it went pretty well. I gained another 2 pounds and although I feel close to all of you I'm not disclosing my weight at this time. LOL. I am so ashamed. :( I scheduled my next ultrasound for 6/22 and also did my glucose test that next day. I made such a big deal about he glucose test, and it was absolutely simple. I was scared that I would throw up or not be able to drink the solution. I got the orange flavor and swallowed it down in about two minutes. It didn't taste bad at all; it tasted like Minute Maid Orange. They got the test results back that Wednesday and I passed. So that is one less thing I have to do until Jaydon makes his arrival.

I also talked to the doc about Jason "catching Jaydon" as he came out. I had seen this on A Baby Story, and thought it was pretty neat. Well, my doctor didn't seem to think the same. He said that since this one is my first that he would like Jason to just watch and not participate. At first I was disappointed but now I understand that anything can happen, including Jaydon sliding out of his daddy's hands. LOL. We also discussed who could be present during the birth and he said that it is best to keep it down to four people. I have chosen to have my DH, mom, MIL, and sister-in-law there with me to experience this. I am getting so excited now, I just sit and imagine half the time what it is going to be like to finally get to hold my baby. I imagine him with red hair (like his Nanna and Great Grandmother) and decked out in his Tommy Hilfiger outfits most of the time. By the time everyone reads this I will only have 12 weeks to go. I am leaving for a quick vacation on the 8th and then I have my ultrasound on the 22nd, so June will be over before I know it.

Well, got to get going, so I will be talking to you all later. Hope everyone is enjoying being pregnant as much as I am. Oh, by the way, I went wild registering at Babies 'R' Us, but it was so much fun. LOL.

Till next entry,

Chevie and Jaydon anxiously waiting to meet face-to-face.
