31 weeks, 9 to go!!
Hello Mommies-To-Be,
I still can not believe that I almost there. It seems like the weeks are still flying by me. I thought at this point that they would creep by with me being as miserable as can be. Well, things are just the opposite. Weeks are flyin' by, and I feel wonderful. I hope that my next pregnancy (if there is one) goes as smoothly as this one has. In the first trimester, I rarely got sick, in the second, I felt pretty normal, and now in the third I haven't experienced chronic back pain, heartburn, hemorhoids or any other pregnancy ailments. LIFE IS GOOD!! I hope someone else out there in pregnancy land is also on cloud with me. Though, I am dreading my pregnancy to come to an end in some ways. I will miss the the feeling of my baby inside me and the excuse to eat as much as I want at the "All-You-Can-Eat" buffets. At the same time, though, I long for the day that I will finally meet the little (or should I say big) guy who has been kicking and tickling me. That day I can proudly say is just right around the corner. I am soooo happy!!!
I told you all about my ultrasound in my last entry and have been thinking a lot lately about hearing that my baby is going to pretty big. I am scared to death! Some people have told me not to worry, that his weight gain will taper off, but that hasn't calmed me down a bit. I am scared to have a C-section, but also scared to push out a 10-pound baby. Has anyone else had their third trimester ultrasound done, and been told that they will be delivering a large baby? Please let me know on my board. I would love to hear your concerns and thoughts. I know one thing is for sure: I will definitely be having the epidural done. I don't see any sense in putting myself through excruciating pain when something can be done -- something that will have no severe effects on the baby or I. I hear having the epidural makes labor and delivery a breeze. My sister-in-law had one last year with my niece and she was feeling no pain. She was smiling and joking around with everyone up until it was time to push the baby out; even then she says she couldn't hardly feel a thing. I hope the epidural has the same effect on me.
Well, as I type this Jaydon has gotten the hiccups again. He seems to get them at least once a day now. Yesterday he got them about four times! I told my boss at work that you would think that my baby was drunk or something. It is such a neat feeling.
Well, gotta run. Lunch is calling my name and Jaydon and I haven't eaten a thing today, so we must answer this call very soon. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying being pregnant. Also congratulations to Christy and Lynne on their pregnancies. I am very happy that you are able to join us.
Till next week,
Chevie and Jaydon
