Chevie's Diary Entries

32 weeks, 8 to go!! (By the time this is submitted I will be 33 weeks.)

Hello Ladies, I'm sorry that once again my entry is going to be late. I have been having a chaotic week. Today is my first day back to work since the holiday. I was supposed to come back yesterday (Wednesday) but our car broke down so we spent the whole day looking for a new one. After hunting for hours and hours, we called the mechanic back and it turned out our car was going to be cheaper to fix than we had thought.

I was so excited about getting a new ride, but all good things always come to an abrupt end for me. Since I am taking a six-week maternity leave WITHOUT pay we couldn't afford an extra payment right now. I think that once I get my raise in October and pay off our TV then we will start over the new-car-buying process. At least now we know my husband can get a brand new car in his name with his not-so-good credit.

On the 4th we went to Lone Star Park (horse races) and actually came out ahead about $40.00 and not to mention the spectacular free firework show that lasted for 30 minutes. When we were ready to leave the parking lot became one big traffic jam. We sat in the parking lot for two hours and finally got home around 3:30 a.m.

On the baby front, status still remains the same as last week. Jaydon still nudges and elbows me here and there. He can no longer do backflips or any other form of acrobats because he has gotten so big. Last week he was hiccuping about once a day; now it is about four or five times a day. I can no longer bend over easily nor can I put my shoes on. I will try to include a picture of me before my pregnancy is over with. You will have to bear with me though because I do not have a scanner.

Well, I will talk to you all next week and let you know what the doctor says at my next visit, which is tomorrow. Till then, take care of yourselves.
