33 Weeks, 7 to go!

Hello Everyone,
Well I had a wonderful baby shower this past weekend. My MIL and SIL did a wonderful job of hosting. They had it at the clubhouse of my SIL's apartments, which included two pool tables, shuffle board, fooz ball, and of course the swimming pool. This place was nice and well-decorated. I got the Osh Kosh stroller that goes with my carrier, a swing (which I am taking back -- I'm going to use my SIL's instead), tons of clothes, baby supplies, blankets, and a check from my mom for the crib and bedding. I am going to buy the crib and bedding around the end of July.

I am finally proud to say that we got the nursery cleaned out and already set up the changing table with all the baby stuff we will need in that area (wipes, lotion, powder, diapers, etc.). I also have my SIL's Osh Kosh playpen (which we got for her last year when she was pregnant with our niece), and her bassinet, bouncer, diaper genie, and floor toy. I am so excited!! I have to make a trip into his nursery at least once a day and play with all of his things, or look at his cute little clothes. I think I have rearranged the changing table supplies at least a dozen times! I am getting so anxious to hold my little baby boy I can hardly stand it.

I had a doctor's appointment last Friday also. This time my doctor was on vacation so I saw his son instead. He said that baby is still in a head-down position and is moving through my pelvis region; that explains all the pressure I have been feeling lately when I try to sit or stand. Oh, I also lost a half pound. I thought that I was supposed to be packing on a lot in this stage, but apparently I'm losing a little bit. At first this alarmed me, but the doctor said that this can be normal and as long as it doesn't become a pattern it is nothing to be concerned about.

My next appointment is July 21, then after that day I will be going in once a week. Time is finally starting to drag by me and I'm hoping when I start going to the doctor more often it will go by quicker. The only complaints I have this week is the heat and heartburn. Texas weather just plain sucks. One day it's raining and fairly decent, and the next it is sweltering hot. When it gets real hot I have to take my ring off because of the swelling. I plan on buying a chain to wear my wedding ring on while I am in the hospital but keep forgetting.

Heartburn is not a big problem with me not unless I eat corny dogs. I have gotten heartburn the last two times. My remedy: no more corny dogs. This is very strange though. I can eat spicy food or anything else for that matter and I don't get heartburn; corny only dogs do it to me.

Well, gotta run, I am going to Wendy's to get a Chef salad. I will talk to you all again next week. Hope everyone is doing well :).

Till next entry, take care,
Chevie and Jaydon
