34.5 weeks, 5.5 to go!!
Well, time seems like it is standing still nowadays. The first six months every day and week just flew by me. Now I'm feel like I am going to be pregnant for another nine months. Two weeks ago I didn't think that I was able to get that much bigger, but boy, was I wrong. Right now I resemble a big blown-up beach ball with a head and legs. The swelling is finally starting to set in and I am no longer wearing my wedding ring on a daily basis, although I only swell up when I'm really hot or outside in the heat. My back has its good nights and bad nights. The only time my back really aches and hurts is at night. I guess because I'm still sitting at a computer all day, every day in an uncomfortable chair. I'm sorry that I am complaining so much. I'm just getting very cranky lately. I WANT MY BABY OUT NOW!!
My sister had her baby last Thursday, July 13. She is so lucky -- although she had a pretty difficult labor from what I hear. She was in active labor for 12 hours, then the doctor decided that the baby was too big for her and decided to do a c-section. At her 37 weeks appointment the doctor said that her baby would only be about 6 and a half pounds. Either they were completely off or since she was two weeks overdue that the baby grew another 2 and a half pounds. She named him Travis Blake. He weighed about 8 pounds, 11 ounces, and I believe he was about 21 inches long. I can't wait to see a picture of him.
Speaking of pictures, I am going to send a before-pregnancy picture (at two months) and one at eight months. I don't have a scanner that works, but will send and hope they make it to iParenting.
Well, my next doctor appointment is this Friday (July 21) and that day he will schedule my Strep-B test and all that other good stuff. After next week's appointment I will begin going every week. Hopefully that will make my weeks go by faster. I sure hope so.
Until next week, everyone take care!
Chevie and Jaydon
P.S. Almost forgot: We will finally get to go to court for joint custody rights in October for my stepson. Although we have not seen him in four months at least we have a court date finally set. I'm already so excited about finally getting to see Brynden and introducing him to his new brother (Jaydon should definitely be here by October). Yippee!
