August 31, 2000
Well, hello everyone. Sorry that I haven't written in so long but I have been very busy taking care of my newborn son. I'm sorry this will be a quick entry and with no pictures but I'm using my father's computer and Jaydon is sure to want to eat real soon.
I went into the hospital on Aug. 22 at 6 in the morning to be induced and had the easiest and quickest labor. They started Pitocin at 8 and my contractions came on hard around 8:30. I received some pain medication before the epidural so that helped a whole lot. When they did the epidural they had to stick me four times in the back because my back for some reason would not take it. After the epidural it was a easy going. I could not feel any contractions at all and was pretty much falling asleep when I was 8 centimeters. They had to turn my epidural off so that I could start pushing around 12:30. After 24 minutes of pushing (around 25 pushes) Jaydon Lee was born a 1 p.m. (about six hours of labor). He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19 inches long --not even close to what they predicted. Jaydon is an excellent baby; he hardly ever cries and has breastfeeding down like it is nothing.
I will write my next entry soon and will hopefully be able to include some pictures. Can't wait to show him off to you all. Talk to you all real soon.
Love,
Chevie and Jaydon (The Titty Monster)
