Well after a long weekend we are finally home! Friday night as I was getting ready to go to a local coffee house with a friend Don noticed Noah was really warm. So we took his temp and it was 101.4! So I called and cancelled my night out and called the dr. We had to monitor him for the night and the next day it was down to 100.1 and we went to the dr. office from there Noah was admitted into the hospital. The dr. thought and is still thinking he may have a urinary trak infection. All the tests came back negitive but she said she will do another urine test in the office tomorrow. And Monday was is normal appointment for his 2 month shots which he won't be getting now that he has medication in his system for this infection. Or what we think may be an infection. Friday and Saturday morning he was not only running a fever but vomitting everything up. That gave concern to me and the dr. I found more strength in myself than I thought I had this weekend. When I had to help hold Noah down while they drew blood, put a tube in his little pee pee to get urine for testing and the 2 shots in his legs. Man, talk about a momma that thought she would loose it. Noah just looked at me like "why momma?" It broke my heart. At first the dr. didn't want Noah having ANY formula just pedialite. And though I still have breast milk he didn't even want him having that. GEEZ! But Noah won in the end of that battle. The nurse came in and said he could have half formula and half pedialite. WOOHOO! And they tried feeding it to him cold! That didn't work! But all in all he got to have his formula. Now he is on straight formula. I also asked the dr. about changing him to Prosobee since he spits up EVERY time I fed him on the Enfamil with iron. She thought it would be a good thing to try and it worked. So now we have changed to Prosobee. He is doing so much better on that. Thank God my baby is alright and we are home safe and sound. Well till tomorrow and if he does have a UTI they will do an ultrasound of his kidneys and stuff to see if everything there is ok and then in 4 weeks will inject dye in through his uretha and see if it comes out the way it supposed to or if it goes into the kidneys. Now if it goes in the kidneys there is a problem! Some thing may not have developed right. God please let everything be okay with Noah! But for now he seems to be healthy. I am thankful that he wasn't a fussy baby during this. He was smiling at all the dr.'s and nurses at the hospital. What can I say, he is a cutie and so well natured. So that was our exciting weekend. Oh yeah Noah weighs 12 pounds 5 ounces! Not bad for 10 weeks old.
