Christina's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

February 9, 2001

Well, I just wanted to stop by and give an update on how I am doing. I am 15 weeks now, and my next appointment is next Friday. It has been rescheduled twice so I can't wait to get in and hear the heartbeat.

I am feeling really good, and I have had a really big appetite. I had tons of cravings for fastfood, but those have pretty much disappeared. I am still feeling pretty tired despite getting plenty of sleep at night. I haven't even had any trouble sleeping either so this remains a mystery to me. I am starting to show a little bit, and I think I felt the first flutters of movement last night. It was great, and it helped to make the pregnancy more real.

I really love the second trimester. You aren't uncomfortable and you begin to look pregnant and feel the baby. You finally get to start wearing maternity clothes and really start thinking more about the little person growing inside of you. I can't wait to be showing more. This pregnancy really seems to be flying by even though August seems so far away.

I've tried to explain to my two year old that I have a baby in me. She just looks at me and then says, "Lauren's a baby." I really think she will be very excited when the baby gets here, and Lauren loves babies so I hope that is a good sign.
