Christy's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

Introduction

5 weeks, 3 days left!

So far, so good ... my baby is still safe and healthy. My fluid levels are still above 12. The baby hardly moves, but they say she is OK. I just have to take their word for it!

As far as me, I look and feel like a big fat toasted marshmallow. You could basically read Anne O.'s last diary entry, and it would be a duplicate of how I feel! Sleeping is impossible, putting on socks and tying my shoes is impossible and anything else that requires me to partially bend. My nose is growing -- I'm not kidding, it is getting so WIDE! My whole body is swelling up really bad. Kev has to spend about five minutes on each ankle to get rid of the dents left in my skin from my socks. I had to stop wearing my wedding ring about two weeks ago. I feel naked without it!

I'm enclosing a picture of how I currently look. Beware, it's a bad one. Kev took it right before flying out the door to work.

ChristyIt looks like we are going to have another warm Christmas this year! It was in the upper 70s today, hence the reason I'm wearing shorts in the picture. I'm really looking forward to celebrating Hanukkah with DH and his brother this year. We will all be going over to my mom's house to celebrate Christmas with them and eat tamales. This year my mom broke the preparation of tamales over two weekends. Last Saturday, she make enough chili to make 80 pounds worth of tamales -- that's a WHOLE BUNCH. This coming Sunday, we will spend the day spreading those 80 pounds worth of masa on corn husks, adding the chili to the middle and steaming them for what seems like forever. I'm not to crazy about the chili tamales, but absolutely love the sweet ones! It should be a lot of fun. I'll take some pictures of us preparing them ... it looks just like a factory line!

Well, that's it for today. Merry Christmas ... happy Hanukkah,
Christy
